This is a compositional exercise. Normally photographers are using the rule of thirds to create an intriguing image. In this exercise I challenge you to break that rule and put your subject in one of the four corners of your image. How does it feel to you when you look at your image. Which corner should you use. We start reading from the upper left corner. So for us the westerners it symbolizes “beginning” while the lower right corner symbolizes “ending.” Study your images and talk to friends about them. How do they feel when they look at your image. as always have fun with your camera!
I photographed this cat siting on an old tree. I framed her in the upper right since the tree trunk curved to the lower right.
Enjoy and keep on working on your images!
