I like color contrast in my images. I purposely picked the orange poppy as part of the composition because it creates a nice contrast to the blue flowers. In addition I picked a f5.6 aperture setting which created a small depth of field in my 180mm macro lens. I needed the small depth of field because if the poppy would have been sharp the eyes would have focused on the poppy and not on the small blue flowers.
