There is a small pond located nearby that offers some wonderful photographic opportunities and except for the occasional vehicle that insists on interrupting me to get to their destination, it is a perfect spot to capture more of Mother Natures beautiful work. Have a wonderful day.
I grew up in Northern California about 50 miles from the Oregon Border. One of our playgrounds was the McCloud River. One of the iconic features of the McCloud River is Middle Falls. As you hike the trail from Lower Falls and the Fowler Campground you come upon this.
I consider myself very lucky to grow up when and where I did. I appreciate the area more now than I did when I saw it all the time.

This rock formation is called the Devil’s Wall and it is located in the Harz mountains in northern Germany. I photographed there several times and I am looking forward to photograph there again.

Mit der Autostadt Eigenproduktion “Clouds” ging am vergangenen Sonntag das diesjährige Zirkusfestival in Wolfsburg zu Ende. Musiker, Tänzer und erstklassige Artisten und Artistinnen begeisterten das Publikum mit einer tollen Show.
This year’s circus festival in Wolfsburg ended last Sunday with Autostadt’s own production “Clouds”. Musicians, dancers and first-class artists delighted the audience with a great show.
Am vergangenen Wochenende fotografierten mein Cousin und ich die heraufziehenden Regenwolken. Der Regen kam schneller als gedacht: ein paar Minuten später mussten wir ins Trockene flüchten.
Last weekend my cousin and I photographed the coming rain clouds. The rain came faster than we thought: a few minutes later we had to flee into the dry.
Mother Nature always amazes me with her profound artistry. You can see her paintings everywhere. All you have to do is look.
Last week my job took me to Sacramento. I got done somewhat early and decided to head over to Old Sacramento and the California State Railroad Museum. I like trains but have to admit that the museum was a little disappointing for me as a photographer. Most of the displays were under glass and the interior of the museum was dimly lit. I took this one outside at the depot. In the past I’ve seen several locomotives and cars outside. There were only a few this time.
But I love trains so all-in-all a very good day.
Letzte Woche brachte mich mein Job nach Sacramento. Ich bin etwas früher fertig geworden und habe beschlossen, nach Old Sacramento und zum California State Railroad Museum zu fahren. Ich mag Züge, muss aber zugeben, dass das Museum für mich als Fotograf etwas enttäuschend war. Die meisten Displays waren unter Glas und das Innere des Museums war schwach beleuchtet. Ich nahm diesen im Depot ab. In der Vergangenheit habe ich mehrere Lokomotiven und Autos draußen gesehen. Es gab nur wenige dieses Mal.
Aber ich liebe Züge so alles in allem ein sehr guter Tag.
Say hi to Slinky, our tomcat. As a young cat he showed up in our neighborhood and we decided to adopt him. I photographed him this morning sitting in front of our house.

Auf dem Bild zu sehen ist die kanadische Gruppe “Cirque la Compagnie”mit einer tollen Mischung aus Akrobatik, Comedy und Musik. Eine sehenswerte Show.
Under the motto “Cirque Nouveau”, numerous street art groups and renowned circus ensembles will once again be presenting themselves to an astonished Autostadt audience this year. The picture shows the Canadian group “Cirque la Compagnie” with a great mixture of acrobatics, comedy and music. A show worth seeing.
