Blick unter die Tribüne

Der Weg auf die Freilichtbühne der Autostadt gibt den Blick auf die imposante Tribünenkonstruktion frei. Sonnenlicht und Scheinwerfer unterstreichen die Farbwirkung.
The path to the Autostadt open-air stage provides a view of the imposing grandstand construction. Sunlight and headlights underline the colour effect.

Bird’s Eye View

I took this image as I was flying over Los Angeles this past week. I love the window seats and being able to see the views from high above. This kind of view gives you a completely different perspective on the ground down below. Enjoy!

Skipper

This is, I believe a common White Skipper. Skippers are very small butterflies, with large round eyes, and their wings are usually folded above their back hen resting. There are quite a few varieties and I have seen them at all elevations. Enjoy your day!

Ich habe mal wieder etwas herum experimentiert. Dieses Bild von einem Ziergras habe ich in der Nacht auf meinem Balkon mit einer UV-Taschenlampe und einem lichtstarken Objektiv gemacht.
I’ve been experimenting around a bit again. I took this picture of an ornamental grass on my balcony during the night with a UV torch and a fast lens.

The Blues

This category of butterflies is called Blues, with several subspecies that can become a challenge when trying to identify one because of their similarities. They are very small but beautiful. In the field where I was shooting, I saw a few different different types. This is I believe, a Silvery Blue female. The males are strikingly blue and there was one close by that I was able to get pictures of. This was shot at about 7500 ft. Enjoy your day
