Pohono Bridge in the Fall

I made a short tip to Yosemite this past week and was surprised to find that most of the large leaf maples were already past their prime and the oaks were quickly approaching their prime and the dogwoods were a mixed bag with some already reaching their peak colors and others still green. This is much earlier than normal for me. Mother Nature is always unpredictable and full of surprises, but always provides us with her own unique beauty on her own time schedule. Enjoy your day !

Barn

This was taken a couple of years ago on Highway 140, the road I take to go to Yosemite. Sometimes as photographers we have to remember that it’s as much the journey as the destination.

Dies wurde vor ein paar Jahren auf dem Highway 140 aufgenommen, der Straße, die ich nach Yosemite fahre. Manchmal müssen wir uns als Fotografen daran erinnern, dass es sowohl um die Reise als auch um das Ziel geht.

Dichter mit Mütze

Jedes Jahr findet eine Woche nach dem Erntedankfest in Fallersleben der “Kartoffelsonntag” statt. Aus diesem Anlass hatte man die Skulptur des Dichters Heinrich Hoffmann von Fallersleben mit Mütze und Schal dekoriert.
Every year, one week after the harvest festival in Fallersleben, the “Potato Sunday” takes place. On this occasion the sculpture of the poet Heinrich Hoffmann von Fallersleben was decorated with a cap and scarf.

Tickled

Periodically our group is challenged to present a certain type of format and this week was people pictures and when I was informed of this, this particular shot came immediately to mind. It was taken at a flea market a few years ago, and this vendor happened to glance up at me while I was snapping her picture. I loved her response. Enjoy your day!!!
