I discovered this blooming tree at an apartment complex in Merced, CA. I took 11 exposures walking in a semi circle around the tree. In post production I combined and aligned the exposures using different blending modes. Enjoy!

Sunrise San Luis Creek Campground
San Luis Creek Campground is located in the foothills west of Los Banos, CA. During the summer month it is pretty hot during the day but the early mornings are beautiful. I got up right at sunrise and started photographing as the sun slowly rose at the horizon. Enjoy this image!
Coal Collage
When we were camping at Azalea campground I found several small pieces of wood that were completely black. I picked some of the pieces and arranged them on top of a metal bear box. Then I started photographing. Enjoy!
Lost Places: Former Shooting Range at Fort Ord
Thousands of Infanterie man were trained at Fort Ord, located at the central California coast. The wooden tower was the place where the officer in charge stood and supervised the rifle training.

Homage to Ruth Bernhard
I found some expired anti acid pills and some I connected them with Ruth Bernhard’s Livesaver image which she created in 1930. I decided to create arrangements with the anti acid pills and then I started photographing. Enjoy!
Pygmy Forest
A pygmy or dwarf forest can develop where there is a certain soil concentration. The vegetation looks unusual and maybe from a different planet. I photographed these trees and shrubs at the Pygmy forest at Salt Point State Park in Northern California. Enjoy!
Tools
Recently I was able to photograph the tools at the carpentry building in Fort Ross, CA. Enjoy!
Allensworth, California
Allensworth is as far as I know the only community in California that was found, developed, financed and governed by African Americans. The Community was established by Colonel Allensworth and a few friends about halfway between Fresno and Bakersfield in 1908. The purpose was to give African Americans the chance to reach the American dream of a better life. Only African Americans lived here! In 1908 water was plentiful available in the central California valley so that the Community could be established.
Unfortunately, the water level sank in the following years and Cornel Allensworth died in a car accident in 1914. Due to lack of water and leadership the community declined rapidly. Today it is a California State Park.
I decided to use three of my photographs to create a post card. Enjoy!
Vintage Street Car in San Francisco
Most people know and photograph the famous cable cars in San Francisco. There is a second historic transportation system traveling Market Street, the electric street cars. I photographed this vintage Street car around sunset. Enjoy!
