Here is my final image for the this week. I created three different layers of the same image and combined them using layer mask. The masks were hand-painted to create just the effect I wanted.

Black and White images have their own special appeal. Many times I convert an image to see how it looks like and to discover the structure of an image.

I changed the daytime photograph into a nighttime image. There are different ways to do that. I used the Topaz Photoshop plug-in which has several presets for this actions. I used two of them and used them as layers in Photoshop.

Five out of One 01

This weeks challenge is to pick one image and create each day a new image out of the one image you have chosen. You can edit the image any way you like, just create a new one out of your original.
I photographed this little stream yesterday at Kings Canyon National Park, CA. Here is my first image. I changed it from a landscape into a portrait and I increased colors and sharpness.
Did my image improve? I think so. Enjoy and happy editing!
