In preparation for our quarterly assignment David and I drove to the Railtown 1897 State Historic park in Jamestown , CA. Inside the shop I was able to capture this large anvil with my 50mm lens at f1.4. Enjoy!

Shaped by the Elements
I photographed this tree at Capitol Reef National Park in Utah. The tree was shaped by the elements and depends totally on the elements. I converted the image to black and white to create more drama. In addition I used the natural and imaginary lines to emphasize the tree trunk. Enjoy!
This is the colored version of the image. Which image do you like better and why?
Hiking in the Dunes
I had the opportunity to photograph these hikers in the Great Sand Dunes national Park in Colorado. These sand dunes are incredibly high and fascinating. I was told that the sand is 140 degree Fahrenheit (60 degree Celsius) hot. Protective shoes are a must!
Pistachio Shells
The Christmas season is combined with eating more nuts. I decided to create an image out of the Pistachios shells. Enjoy!
Isolation
Photography has the power to reflect the situation we are living in. Currently COVID 19 is determining our lives in many ways. One key factor is isolation in order to prevent spreading the virus. Let’s not forget that isolation can lead to loneliness and depression.
Stay healthy and reach out to a person In isolation. That is the message of this image!
Paper Shreds
Due to the bad air quality we were forced to stay inside for a few days. We used the opportunity to look through some old records and shred as many as possible. Then I had the idea to photograph them on a light box.
Enjoy!
Light Dances
I used a large mirror, a glass ball and a flashlight to create this image. I put the mirror on the ground and a glass ball in the middle of it. I attached a string to the small flashlight And used it like a pendulum over the ball and the mirror while I was exposing and creating interesting images.
Enjoy!
Gardenia
I created 4 exposures from normal range to + 4ev to create a high key stack. Then I combined the images in post production to create this image. Enjoy
Chemung Mine
Recently I photographed at the Chemung mine in Eastern California. Enjoy!
Bursting Bubble
We had a couple of cold mornings in Central California. I got up at sunrise and blew some bubbles on my freezing lawn. After they were frozen I photographed them.
This is a bubble that partially collapsed. Enjoy the image and keep on photographing!
