Light in the Darkness
Currently I am walking through the streets of Merced looking for interesting light decorations. I photograph them purposely blurred. The interesting fact is that different lenses create different blurs. One can also create different blurs through the focusing ring. Be creative with your camera and have fun!
Pistachio Shells
The Christmas season is combined with eating more nuts. I decided to create an image out of the Pistachios shells. Enjoy!
Impressionistic Carnations
Nine exposures of a vase of carnations. Camera is mounted on a tripod and in manual mode. Before each exposure I turned the vase a few degrees. In post I edited the images in layers. Enjoy!
Triptych: Fall Colors in Merced
I photographed these beauties on my morning walk today. Enjoy!
Hiking Condor Gulch Trail
Yesterday my wife and I were hiking in Pinnacles National Park in Central California. The Park is relatively small and unknown but there are breathtaking vistas and interesting rocks. Enjoy the image!
Sunrise at the Game Refuge
We (Wolfgang, David and I) photographed early at the Merced Game Refuge. Our goal was to photograph spider webs at sunrise. Enjoy!
Balloon Popping
This is a fun project. Fill a balloon with water and pop it. I used two flashes, one to illuminate my hand and the other from behind to illuminate the water. Have fun!
Dogwood at Calaveras State Park
Currently many photographers are chasing Fall colors in California. I found some great dogwood colors at Calaveras State Park in Central California. The large Sequoia trees work great as a backdrop.
Enjoy and keep on photographing!
Isolation
Photography has the power to reflect the situation we are living in. Currently COVID 19 is determining our lives in many ways. One key factor is isolation in order to prevent spreading the virus. Let’s not forget that isolation can lead to loneliness and depression.
Stay healthy and reach out to a person In isolation. That is the message of this image!
