Fall Colors in Yosemite
Due to heavy smoke the air quality was not good in Yosemite Valley. On the other side the smokey haze created a soft light which I took advantage off photographing Fall colors. The dogwood leaves have started to change colors and I was very happy with this image.

Toadstool
During Fall the light changes dramatically in Central California. The change in seasons opens up the possibility to bring out earthen color tones a lot more. The contrasts are softer and the mood of the subject changes also. I tried to capture all this in this image of a toadstool Enjoy!
Paper Shreds
Due to the bad air quality we were forced to stay inside for a few days. We used the opportunity to look through some old records and shred as many as possible. Then I had the idea to photograph them on a light box.

Rose
I photographed a Rose from my yard several times. First I created a “low key stack” of the Rose on the left hand side. Combined several exposures in layers and masking techniques I creates a beautiful backlit image on a black background. Then I created a group of different images. I moved the rose during the exposure to create a motion blur. I picked a blurred image and used it as part of my background. The sharp and blurred rose give the image an interesting contrast.

Light Dances
I used a large mirror, a glass ball and a flashlight to create this image. I put the mirror on the ground and a glass ball in the middle of it. I attached a string to the small flashlight And used it like a pendulum over the ball and the mirror while I was exposing and creating interesting images.

Gardenia
I created 4 exposures from normal range to + 4ev to create a high key stack. Then I combined the images in post production to create this image. Enjoy
Lembert Dome
Lembert Dome (elevation 9455ft or 2882 m) is a beautiful rock formation at the edge of Tuolumne meadows in Yosemite National Park. I photographed the rock right before the storm clouds were moving in.

Chemung Mine
Recently I photographed at the Chemung mine in Eastern California. Enjoy!
Young Rose
I listened to a photographic presentation where the photographer talked about colors and how they influence the viewer. He mentioned that the colors red is very dominant and just a little red in an image makes a significant impact.
I decided to photograph a small red rose in my yard. I waited after sunset and then I used my fiber optic lamp to create this blue background. I wanted blue as a cold color in contrast to the warm red color of the rose.
