Flower Wheel
I took seven exposures of this single blossom organizing the images in payers in post production. then I used masking techniques and different blending modes to arrive at this image.
Enjoy!
Traveling through the Universe
I dropped an effervescent tablet in a glass of water which I positioned in a dark room. On each side I mounted a high sync flash. I had mounted the camera on a tripod and manually prefocussed. I used an exposure time of 1/8000 of a second to freeze the fast moving bubbles.
Enjoy and be creative at home during the pandemic season!
Screw City
I picked a bunch of screws and placed them on a reflective surface. As a background I used a black card board and a fiber optic lamp which also served as my light source. Then I started experimenting with different f-stops and exposures times. As a final touch I added a Topaz art filter.
Enjoy and keep on creating great images!
Airport Control
I photographed these geese landing on a field at the Merced Game Refuge. It was amazing to me to see thousands of birds flying so close together and not colliding. It looked like a logistic masterpiece! Enjoy!
Next Week …
We are seven photographers on this block. Normally we share images that we like but once a quarter we agree on a common theme and the first full week of January, April, July and October we all post the same theme. Next week we share our best bird images so please visit our website!
Amaryllis
The Amaryllis started to bloom at my neighbors front yard. Early in the morning I photographed them using a 180 mm macro lens mounted on a tripod. Enjoy and be creative with your images!
Glass Ball
Due to the corona virus our activities are restricted. We try to stay at home as much as possible. So I decided to look for some ideas to photograph at home. I watched some Youtube videos to find some inspiration and finally I just started to pick up “stuff” out of my photography accessory box. The glass ball got my attention. I photographed it on a reflective surface and against a black background. I used a small flashlight as my light source having the camera secured. Moving the flashlight around the ball I snapped several exposures. In post production I used the Solarization filter filter inside Nik Color Efex 4 to create this image. Enjoy and get creative!
Child’s Play
While I was cleaning up a mess in the kitchen I came to the end of a roll of paper towels. Suddenly I had the idea to fill the empty paper roll with silver foil, holding it in front of my camera lens. I tried all kinds of different camera settings photographing blossoms in my neighborhood. Be inspired and start photographing!
Tripple Exposure Blossoms
I walked through my neighborhood photographing blooming trees. I postproduction I created this image out of three images.
Enjoy and keep on photographing!
