Full Moon and Geese

I actually took this one a couple of years ago. It’s not photo-shopped. The geese were flying high and I was actually trying to get a full moon shot. Lucky timing. It is pretty heavily cropped.

Winterstimmung

Das eisige Winterwetter lässt auch in der Autostadt allmählich die Wasserflächen zufrieren.

The icy winter weather is gradually freezing the water surfaces in the Autostadt.

Bis Anfang Januar konnten sich die großen und kleinen Schlittschuläufer auf den Eisbahnen der Autostadt vergnügen. Mittlerweile ist der Winter auch bei uns mit Frosttemperaturen angekommen. Zum Schlittschuh fahren auf den Wolfsburger Teichen reicht es aber noch nicht.

Until the beginning of January the big and small skaters could enjoy themselves on the ice rinks of the Autostadt. Meanwhile the winter has arrived with frost temperatures. But it’s not enough to skate on the Wolfsburg ponds yet.

Winter in Yosemite

Fall and winter are my favorite times of year, and both are exhibited perfectly in Yosemite. This view of the Merced Rive displays the beauty of this beautiful season in the park. I hope you have a lovely day.

Hurry up Spring

I know it’s probably a little early to think about spring and warmer weather but my house has been without heat for several days now. So if I can’t have warmer weather, I can at least dream about it.

Ich weiß, es ist wahrscheinlich ein wenig zu früh, um über Frühling und warmes Wetter nachzudenken, aber mein Haus ist seit einigen Tagen ohne Hitze. Wenn ich also kein wärmeres Wetter haben kann, kann ich wenigstens davon träumen.

When I opened the drapes in my hotel room on the 9th floor in Irvine, I noticed the morning traffic on a dreary day in Southern California. I grabbed my camera to create this monochrome image.
