Sierra Nevadas, CA. This image was captured while during a summer hike in the mountains. It had just rained and every leaf had a drop of rain resting upon it.
Dogwood Berry’s
I visited Yosemite National Park this past week to check on the fall colors and while the color was lacking, I was rewarded with these colorful dogwood berries. Though not poisonous, I don’t think I would try eating them. Enjoy your day!
Mt. Eddy
I went to the Mt. Shasta area the other day. Mt. Eddy is part of the Cascade Mountains and is used as a generic term for all the mountains and hills that are opposite of Mt. Shasta itself. I was hoping to get a sunset color cast on Mt. Shasta but was treated to this sunset over the Eddys instead.
Ich ging zum Mt. Shasta Bereich neulich. Mt. Eddy ist Teil der Cascade Mountains und wird als Sammelbegriff für alle Berge und Hügel verwendet, die gegenüber von Mt. liegen. Shasta selbst. Ich hatte gehofft, einen Sonnenuntergang Farbe auf Mt zu bekommen. Shasta wurde aber stattdessen zu diesem Sonnenuntergang über die Eddys geführt.
Milky Way over St. Catherine’s
Last night Dorothy, David and I met in Hornitos, CA to photograph the Milky Way over St. Catherine’s Church. We knew it was the end of the season and we expected some light pollution from the houses around the arae. In order to get this image I needed David’s help. He used his small flash light to light paint the church. Thank you!

Licht und Schatten
Auch von mir noch einmal ein Schattenbild. Ich hatte das Bild zurückgestellt, weil bei mir Zweifel aufkamen, sind es nun Schatten oder Lichtstrahlen in der Dunkelheit?
Also from me once again a shadow picture. I had put the picture back because I had doubts, are they shadows or rays of light in the darkness?

Shade on Aspen Leaves
As Dave mentioned, we were up shooting together in the eastern Sierra Nevada when we encountered these gorgeous Aspen trees. This image was shot backlit which produced shaded areas on the lower leaves, a technique I enjoy using. Have a wonderful day.
Aspens on Granite
My friend Dorothy, she’ll post tomorrow, and I went over to the eastside of the Sierra Nevadas to photograph the Aspens turning color. While there I took this shot of the shadow of some aspen leaves on a granite boulder.
Meine Freundin Dorothy, sie wird morgen posten, und ich ging auf die Ostseite der Sierra Nevadas, um die sich drehende Farbe der Espen zu fotografieren. Während ich dort war, nahm ich den Schatten einiger Espenblätter auf einem Granitblock.
Hand
I put my hand in between the light bulb and the lamp shade and photographed the shade of my hand from the outside. The lamp shade created a great texture!

Ich legte meine Hand zwischen die Glühbirne und Lampenschirm und fotografierte den Schatten meiner Hand von außen. Der Lampenschirm hat neben dem Schatten auch eine schöne Textur geschaffen!
