Catching a person’s facial expression can be challenging. I felt extremely lucky getting this image from an elderly lady. I was sitting on a bench as she walked by looking at a bulletin board when I photographed her. Enjoy!

What are you doing?
I was standing in front of this bicycle stand pretending to photograph it. In reality I was waiting for some folks walking by giving me the opportunity to photograph them. This gentleman stopped and turned towards me probably wondering what I was doing? I like the expression in his face.

Emotions of a Dancer
.
I had the opportunity to photograph this dancer at a local event. Dancers are for me the embodiment of emotions in the best meaning of the word (ex and motion), meaning moving out. Dancers let their feelings out. They become visible and take on expressions and forms. At that point emotions can be photographed.
Flower Corso
The Westland is an area north-west of Rotterdam in the Netherlands. It is the Dutch main producer of flowers, fruits and vegetables. Most of it is covered with greenhouses and endless rows of terraced houses. Environmentally, it is probably one of the most destroyed areas in Europe, but on the other hand they produce highly efficient with a minimum use of land and resources. Once a year they try to improve their image with a flower corso of several days. More than 40 boats are decorated with their local products. Mostly their topics follow contemporary media favorites, but sometimes they also refer to environmental or political issues. This year, for three days the boats drifted through the canals for 7-8 hours a day, quite a challenge in the heat of the hottest June weekend ever.
