Mohn

Vor ein paar Tagen bin ich durch den Garten einer Freundin gegangen. Dabei habe ich diese Mohnblüte entdeckt, die aussieht, als wäre sie mit Zucker bestreut.

A few days ago I was walking through the garden of a friend. While doing so, I spotted this poppy blossom that looks like it’s sprinkled with sugar.

Sego Lily

I found this Sego Lily, Utah’s state flower, while hiking in Zion National Park. It is very similar to the local Mariposa Lily. When I wasn’t looking up at the rock walls Zion is famous for I found quite a few interesting flowers and plants.

Ich habe diese Sego-Lilie, Utahs Staatsblume, beim Wandern im Zion-Nationalpark gefunden. Sie ist der einheimischen Mariposa-Lilie sehr ähnlich. Als ich nicht gerade zu den Felswänden hochsah, für die Zion berühmt ist, fand ich einige interessante Blumen und Pflanzen.

Exot

Ich glaube, die wenigsten Menschen werden in ihrem Leben einen Bugatti Veyron Super Sport in natura zu Gesicht bekommen. Und schon gar nicht diese, auf 5 Exemplare limitierte Sonderversion des Supersportwagens. Anke und ich hatten Anfang des Monats das Glück am Wolfsburger Schloss auf so ein Exemplar zu stoßen. Der stand da rum, einfach so.

I believe that very few people will ever see a Bugatti Veyron Super Sport in the flesh. And certainly not this special version of the super sports car, which is limited to 5 units. Anke and I were lucky enough to come across one of these at Wolfsburg Castle at the beginning of the month. It was standing there, just like that.
