I’ve been taking a photography class for one of my fun class electives, and our most recent assignment was “envision the surreal”. This was a fun project and my idea for this image was to demonstrate how books are a form of escape and can lead us into entirely different worlds. I wanted there to be a contrast between the dark and colorless scenery in the background and the colorful landscape coming out of the book. Enjoy!
I took this photo of the trees’ reflection in the water, and turned it upside down. I thought this image was a great one to post for the start of the fall season! Happy fall!

I took this photo over the weekend while up at my family’s cabin. I like the contrast of the light sky with the dark trees. Enjoy!
For the Easter holiday my dad dressed up as the Easter bunny and I was able to capture this interesting image of the egg and the bunny suit in the back. I also love the greenery in the back and the bokeh in this image. Enjoy!
I love how the flash made the flowers stand out against the dark night sky. Enjoy!
I took this image after a recent rain storm and before the bloom of the almond trees. I like the reflection in this photo and the sun shining in the sky. Enjoy!
I took this image outside the window while going up to the cabin. This was shortly after the fires so there was ash covering the windows on the trip up there. The sun that reflected off the ash made it look like glitter in the sky, which I thought made the image look really interesting. Enjoy!
I took this photo a week before the Creek fire swept through my family’s property by Beasore meadows. Luckily, our family cabin is still standing and unharmed. I love how the tree in this image is growing through a space between the rock. It reminds that we grow and become stronger during the toughest times of our life. Here’s to hoping that those negatively impacted by the wildfires, can find strength and fortitude during these hard times. Enjoy!
This last weekend we were forced to evacuated our families cabin due to the Creek Fire. We’re praying for a quick containment, and for the safety of all properties, people, animals, and firefighters.
One early morning, I was sitting outside and saw the hummingbirds pollinating the flowers on the tree next to my house. I quickly grabbed my camera and captured this image. Enjoy!
