Nach ein paar Regentagen haben Bernd und ich heute das gute Wetter für einen Ausflug nach Sachsen-Anhalt genutzt. Dieses verwunschene Haus habe ich in Wahlbeck entdeckt.
After a few rainy days Bernd and I used the good weather for a trip to Saxony-Anhalt today. I discovered this enchanted house in Wahlbeck.

I took this image while near downtown Alameda. This is a street that’s actually blocked off because the roads are so densely lined with homeless camps and and abandoned cars. It’s astonishing to witness how severe the homeless crisis is in California.
The Empire Mine State Park has a wonderful formal garden and reflecting pool. Along with several impressive buildings, including a large club house and the Empire ‘Cottage’, which is more of a mansion than a cottage. It is just behind the ivy covered wall in the background. This cascade leads to a large reflecting pool.
Der Empire Mine State Park hat einen wunderschönen formalen Garten und einen reflektierenden Pool. Zusammen mit mehreren beeindruckenden Gebäuden, darunter ein großes Clubhaus und das Empire ‘Cottage’, das eher ein Herrenhaus als ein Cottage ist. Es ist direkt hinter der efeubewachsenen Wand im Hintergrund. Diese Kaskade führt zu einem großen reflektierenden Pool.
Yesterday I bought some acrylic paint and decided to have some fun with it. I filled an aquarium with water and mounted two strobe lights, one from the left bottom side shooting up and one from the right top side shooting down. Then I started photographing while dropping paint into the water. Enjoy!
Die Schimpansen im Magdeburger Zoo haben ganz offensichtlich Spaß daran Model für die Fotografen hinter der Glasscheibe zu spielen. Fragt sich wirklich, wer hier wen beobachtet.
The chimpanzees in Magdeburg Zoo are obviously having fun playing model for the photographers behind the glass pane. The question is really who is watching whom here.
Vor ein paar Wochen habe ich diese Sonnenblumen fotografiert. Diese einzelne Blüte scheint sich alles genau anzuschauen. Beim Bearbeiten bekam ich Lust, etwas Neues auszuprobieren. Das Ergebnis sieht man unten.
A few weeks ago I photographed these sunflowers. This single flower seems to be looking at everything closely. While editing it, I got the urge to try something new. You can see the result below.

I took this photo of my cat awhile back. I like how she’s looking directly at the camera in this photo. It was difficult to get her to focus so I’m glad I was able to capture this photo! Enjoy!
