I am spending some time in the Desert on my camping trip. So many wildflowers can be seen when looking at the scenery around.

London Bridge at Lake Havasu City
On my travels through the South-West I visited this City and its famous Bridge across the Colorado River on the western Stateline of Arizona.
Originally, this bridge was built in the 1830s and crossed the River Thames in London. The Bridge was later sold to an American, who transported the exterior granite bricks from London to the United States for the construction of a new bridge in Lake Havasu City.
Today the London Bridge at Lake Havasu City is a tourist attraction and visited by millions of people around the world every year.
Vermillion Flycatcher
These birds mostly live in Middle America, but a few spend their winters between southern California and the Gulf of Mexico.
The coloring of these birds is typically dull, mostly grey, with one exception. The male Vermillion Flycatcher has a bright red color in his face, neck and chest. Just tail and wings are grey.
He is also known for puffing up his feathers in the air, when he sings.
Today, while I was sitting near the Colorado River at the Stateline of southern Arizona, he visited me over and over again and performed a really nice show.
Trees In The Desert
While on a road-trip through the South-West, I finally found the time to work more intense on my infrared photography.
.
A Tree in the Desert – surrounded by a road-way – complimented by a group of trees nearby – the road vanishes in the distance
A scene so serene

Nearby another tree – bent, but not broken – waiting for the Spring

While on a Camping Trip I am travelling through Texas and stayed a few nights at this State Park in Brown County, TX
Farm Buildings
The Central Valley with its agricultural environment offers many opportunities to capture historic farm buildings.
One of those I found few days ago while driving around this remote farmland.
Almonds in California
The Central Valley in California is known for its Almond Orchards. Almonds are the farmer’s most valuable crop. Every year in spring the blossoms of the new growth can be seen all over the Valley. This week’s heavy rain flooded the Almond fields and left them soaked in water. One day after the last downpour I drove this road in my neighborhood and was overwhelmed by this stunning view.
California Highways
They are often full of crazy traffic – the Highways in California – but sometimes we find one that is scenic where hardly any other car is visible. One of those Highways I drove yesterday, a lonely and narrow winding road in the Diablo Mountain Range.
