Fall in the Foothills

Fall in the foothills has it’s own beauty. The sky is usually hazy, the temperatures cooler and the air takes on a whole new scent. The summer dried grasses and wildflowers have their own beauty that compliments the colors of fall. The oaks start dropping their leaves and everything takes on a golden glow. Fawn Lily

One of the advantages of having a camera with you is if you’re on a hike and get a little tired you can stop and photograph. I was lucky coming up the hill from visiting the Tuolumne Grove of Redwoods that if you looked around there were numerous opportunities, you just had to look for them. This is a Fawn Lily and I only saw a few in a small area.

Einer der Vorteile einer Kamera ist, dass Sie anhalten und fotografieren können, wenn Sie auf einer Wanderung sind und etwas müde werden. Ich hatte das Glück, den Hügel hinauf zu kommen, als ich den Tuolumne Grove of Redwoods besuchte. Wenn man sich umsah, gab es zahlreiche Möglichkeiten, man musste nur nach ihnen suchen. Dies ist eine Rehkitzlilie und ich habe nur wenige auf kleinem Raum gesehen.

Mondkugel

Die Sonne war gerade untergegangen und hat den Mond und die Wolken angeleuchtet. Ein Bild das so eine gewisse Ruhe und Beschaulichkeit ausstrahlt. Das musste ich mit der Kamera festhalten.
The sun had just set and illuminated the moon and the clouds. A picture that radiates a certain peace and tranquility. I had to capture this with my camera.

Inland from the Coast

On my walk from the highway towards Point Lobos I missed this flower entirely. Coming back out I found these flowers in just a small area inland protected from the ravages the coast has to offer.

Auf meinem Weg von der Autobahn in Richtung Point Lobos habe ich diese Blume völlig vermisst. Als ich zurückkam, fand ich diese Blumen in einem kleinen Gebiet im Landesinneren, das vor den Verwüstungen der Küste geschützt war.
