Recently I had the opportunity to visit the exhibition “Fashioning San Francisco: A Century of Style” at the De Young Museum in San Francisco. Despite the low light I was able to photograph and share a few images.

Kunstwelt
Stahl, Beton, gerade Linien, klare Strukturen, alles sehr ordentlich und aufgeräumt. Und zwischendrin, ganz klein, der Mensch in seiner künstlichen Welt. Ganz so schlimm ist es zum Glück nicht. Aber es ist doch immer wieder interessant, wie man mit Perspektive und Farblook Stimmungen und Geschichten in seine Bilder bekommt.
Steel, concrete, straight lines, clear structures, everything very neat and tidy. And in between, very small, people in their artificial world. Fortunately, it’s not quite that bad. But it’s always interesting to see how you can use perspective and color to create moods and stories in your pictures.
Morgenstimmung
Am Sonntag bin ich mit einer kleinen Gruppe im Eyßelforst/Gifhorn gewandert und war erstaunt, wie sich die Natur in den Morgenstunden nach einer frostigen Nacht zeigt.
On Sunday I went hiking with a small group in the Eyßelforst/Gifhorn and was amazed at how nature reveals itself in the morning hours after a frosty night.

Diese Szene habe ich neulich am Busbahnhof in der Abenddämmerung aufgenommen. Im großen Fenster des Phaeno spiegeln sich noch die von der untergehenden Sonne angestrahlten Wolken. Das Gebäude selbst, wird am Abend von Scheinwerfern in wechselnden Farben (hier: Lila/Violett) beleuchtet.
I took this photo a few days ago at the bus station at dusk. The clouds illuminated by the setting sun are still reflected in the large window of the Phaeno. The building itself is illuminated in the evening by spotlights in changing colors (here: purple/violet).

The red rocks of Sedona, Arizona are beautiful in every season.

Es ist schon erstaunlich wie die Natur aus einer Pfütze neben einem Waldweg ein kleines Kunstwerk entstehen lässt.
It’s amazing how nature can turn a puddle next to a forest path into a small work of art.
