A look into the locomotive workshop at the Lokpark Braunschweig. There, the Braunschweiger Verkehrsfreunde association repairs, restores and maintains historic steam and diesel locomotives and wagons.

Streets of San Francisco
A mural of Cesar Chavez, who formed together with others in 1962 the National Farm Workers Association (NFWA) that later became the United Farm Workers of America. The NFWA fought to empower farmworkers.

Weed California Museum
I went to the old lumber town of Weed a few days ago. It has a great little museum and these two photos brought back memories. I am of Italian heritage and some members of my family used to make their own wine. To do so you had to have a permit from the government and tools of the trade. My uncle had wine barrels in his basement (yes it smelled like wine) and near his house was an old wine press. This certificate is not for my family
Ich war vor ein paar Tagen in der alten Holzfällerstadt Weed. Es gibt ein tolles kleines Museum und diese beiden Fotos haben Erinnerungen geweckt. Ich bin italienischer Abstammung und einige Mitglieder meiner Familie stellten früher ihren eigenen Wein her. Dazu brauchte man eine Genehmigung der Regierung und entsprechendes Handwerkszeug. Mein Onkel hatte Weinfässer in seinem Keller (ja, es roch nach Wein) und in der Nähe seines Hauses stand eine alte Weinpresse. Dieses Zertifikat ist nicht für meine Familie
Impressionistic Tree
I discovered this blooming tree at an apartment complex in Merced, CA. I took 11 exposures walking in a semi circle around the tree. In post production I combined and aligned the exposures using different blending modes. Enjoy!
