I finally figured it out that a screwdriver has a certain purpose. So I decided to photograph it.

In this image I used my car door as a background. To make the image more interesting I used a wide open lens (f2.8).

I stepped out of my house and discovered the garden hose. It is a perfect place for my screwdriver.

The challenge for this week is actually pretty simple. Pick an object that you can carry with you and then photograph it at different places and backgrounds. The object stays the same, just the background is different. Enjoy!

I picked a screwdriver that I can easily carry around with me. In this image I stuck the screwdriver into a fence board.

This is glass reflection that I photographed in downtown Merced, CA.

I shot this image at the UC Merced Library. It shows that glass can be translucent and reflective.

I put a six-pack of beer in front of my strobe on which I used a regular barn-door. I tried several settings changing the settings of the barn-door. In post processing I used a Topaz-plug-inn to get this final image.

This is the bottom of a beer bottle. The light comes from behind and I used my 180mm macro lens to create this image.Enjoy and keep on creating new images!

Let’s continue to create “glass” images for this week.

I photographed the glass in my wife’s china cabinet. As you can clearly see I used a barn door strobe coming from the left. In addition a placed a paper background sheet behind the glass.
