When you photograph a path or dirt road in a forest you automatically show that the human being has penetrated, cultivated and sometimes also destroyed the forest.

Everything that is alive is constantly changing. this is most certainly true for any forest. There are old dying trees and of course young trees.

This weeks exercise is about a forest. I tried for years to photograph a forest and many times I was disappointed with my images. I had to try many times. So don’t give up, work on your images and I am sure your great images will show up sooner or later.

I am currently in Germany. The German forest is very different than the California forest. The climate and the species are quite different. For me this is a big challenge. Enjoy the image and keep on photographing!
