January 2022 – Passion for Photos

I recently went to Morro Bay with a friend of mine, and we walked along the beach collecting seashells. The tide was high, and birds were swarming all around, searching for food. It was a cold, windy day, but the sunshine brought some warmth. Hope you enjoy!

Pretty Morning

Sunrise and sunset on the coast can be breathtaking. There is usually so much moisture in the air that they have their own beauty. You can see the fog starting to fade away behind the old moss covered wooden fence in this picture. It was a wonderful way to start off my day! Enjoy your day and stay healthy.

Saguaro

I photographed outside Tucson, AZ in a regional park. The saguaro cacti were phenomenal and so were the clouds. Enjoy!

Moosinsel

Moose sind erstaunlich zähe Pflanzen. Sie trotzen Kälte und Nässe und besiedeln jeden passenden Untergrund. So wie diese, wie eine Insel im Ozean wirkende, kleine Moosinsel auf einem Findling.
Mosses are amazingly tough plants. They defy cold and wetness and colonize any suitable substrate. Like this small island of moss on a boulder, which looks like an island in the ocean.

Unter Dampf

Auf vielen Touren rund um Wolfsburg ist VW allgegenwärtig. Hier sind es die Heizkraftwerke, die nicht nur das VW-Werk, sondern auch die Stadt Wolfsburg mit Strom und Fernwärme versorgen.

VW is omnipresent on many tours around Wolfsburg. Here it is the combined heat and power plants that supply not only the VW plant but also the city of Wolfsburg with electricity and district heating.

Salt River, Arizona

I’ve been wanting to check out the Salt River area in eastern Arizona, which is known to have wild horses. My first venture into this area didn’t result in seeing any wild horses, but I plan to return until I can find them.

Cat Eye

I really like the shallow depth of field in this photo and the intensity of the cat’s stare. I thought the black and white filter drew more focus to her fierce expression. Hope you enjoy!

When returning home from town late in the afternoon the other day we were startled by this uniquely beautiful sight on our driveway! We had not had any rain, just low clouds all day so I was not expecting to see a rainbow, especially one that looked like this. Unfortunately I didn’t have a wider angle lens with me so I could capture the whole rainbow. I loved that the colors inside the rainbow took on that same hue as the band while outside of the rainbow the colors remained flat. Enjoy your day and stay healthy
