Yellow Swallowtails
I found these two dining on a “butterfly plant” This is one of my favorite butterflies because of their striking yellow color with the addition of blues and orange to their lower wings and “tail”.
My Yard
Last year I took out all the grass in my front yard and have been adding shrubs and flowers. Here is one of my most recent additions.

Cologne Crane Houses seen from the River Rhine
These futuristic houses, shaped like the former cranes at the historic Cologne Harbor, make a perfect juxtapoint to the ancient buildings nearby.
Lupine and Ladybug
I am fortunate to live in an area where wildflowers are abundant and unfortunately so are bugs! But ladybugs are a favorite because they prey on destructive insects. Enjoy your spring wherever you live!
Tamarack Creek
There was a lot of water in Yosemite when Friedhelm, Dorothy (she posts on Friday) went up last week.
Tamarack Creek is part of the Cascades which is usually dry in the summer. Not so much right now.

Petroglyps
I photographed these petroglyphs at the Petroglyph National Monument in Albuquerque, NM. After creating the collage I converted the image to monochrome.
