I used 30 seconds exposure time to create this image. The small waves moved the boats just enough to create some interesting motion blurs.

This is my last image of Fall colors. This desert tree had hardly any leaves but these “fruits” were hanging down from the branches.

This is another image I created at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. Did you notice how small the leaves are? I believe that it is common with desert plants that the leaves are very small.

In the Badlands of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park I found a bush with very small light green leaves. I decided to open my 30mm lens to f2.8 to get a very shallow depth of field.

I photographed around Ocotillo Wells where I found this desert plant. I used a wide open prime lens (f2.8) which created a nicely blurred background of the so called “badlands.”

We worked the last two weeks on Fall colors and normally I would move on. Instead I ask you to take a third week. try something new and different. Change location, try a different time of the day etc., just try something new.

I decided to change location. I had the opportunity to photograph at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in southern California and I started working on Fall colors again. Actually, I expected everything to be completely dried up but I was surprised how much there was alive in the desert.

So keep working on your “Fall Colors” and create some great images!
