Clearing Fall Storm

The Gate to the Valley is a very popular photographer’s spot, myself included. Every time I go to the park, I usually stop there on my way out and always come home with a shot that is different than my previous shots. I liked the water droplets on the small bush framing Bridal Veil Falls. Enjoy your day.

Yosemite Snow

Yosemite had it’s first snow of the season, unfortunately I couldn’t make it up there so I thought I’d post from February of this year.

Yosemite hatte den ersten Schnee der Saison, leider konnte ich es dort nicht schaffen und dachte, ich würde ab Februar dieses Jahres posten.

Water Sculpture

I used a valve system connected to my camera to create this image. The fist water drop created the corona and the second one was right above the corona.

Farbenfroh

Jedes Jahr gibt es in unserer Kirche St. Raphael für kurze Zeit eine, immer wieder anders gestaltete, Lichtinstallation. Das interessante daran ist, dass sich durch die wechselnden Farben und Beleuchtungen auch ständig die Bildeindrücke und Strukturen verändern.
Every year in our church St. Raphael there is a light installation for a short time, always differently designed. The interesting thing is that the changing colours and lighting constantly change the image impressions and structures.

Der Wolf

… ist das Wolfsburger Wappentier. Ein Rudel aus Bronze steht in der Innenstadt.
… is the Wolfsburg heraldic animal. A bronze group stands in the city centre.

White Door

I found some old buildings while taking a walk and I came across this old wooden one. I thought that the aged wood and danger sign was pretty interesting. In black and white, the door really stands out and becomes the focal point of the entire image, which I found to be very simple yet striking. Enjoy!

Fall Aspen

I love the Aspens in the fall. As they age they turn from summer green to lime to yellow to gold to an orange red and finally to a brown that preceeds their dropping to the ground. So beautiful set against their white bark.

The Bedroom

California State Parks aims to keep Bodie in arrested decay. That is they try to keep everything in the same shape it was when they took over the park in 1962. I’d hate to be last one to sleep in this bed.

California State Parks hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, Bodie in Verhaftung zu halten. Das heißt, sie versuchen, alles in der Form zu halten, in der es 1962 war, als sie den Park übernahmen. Ich würde es hassen, der Letzte zu sein, der in diesem Bett schläft.

Aurora

Finally we saw the Northern Lights outside Reyklavik in Iceland. It was about midnight when I snapped the trigger of my camera.
