I really like the shallow depth of field in this photo and the intensity of the cat’s stare. I thought the black and white filter drew more focus to her fierce expression. Hope you enjoy!
The other day there were hundreds of crows swarming the entire area and flying through the skies. I saw this tree filled with them and quickly took a few pictures and captured this one with the crow flying mid-air. I also thought that the black and white coloring gives this image a creepier appearance. Enjoy!
I recently had to complete a self-portrait for my photography class, and this is one of the photos that I submitted. I like the stormy appearance in the mirror reflection, and I think it adds to the overall dramatic tones within the image. Enjoy!
This is my attempt at astrophotography and I also photoshopped a moon image that I had previously taken just to make the photo a little more interesting. I’ve been trying to improve on my night photography and this is one of the first images that I’ve taken where the stars appeared more visible than my previous attempts. Enjoy!
I quickly got my camera out as I waited for the train to pass, and I was able to capture this shot. I thought that the train’s reflection in the water puddle made this an interesting image. Enjoy!
Sierra Nevada Mountains • 2021
I took this photo over the weekend while up at my family’s cabin. I like the contrast of the light sky with the dark trees. Enjoy!
Alameda, CA • • • 2021
I took this image while near downtown Alameda. This is a street that’s actually blocked off because the roads are so densely lined with homeless camps and and abandoned cars. It’s astonishing to witness how severe the homeless crisis is in California.
This image was captured while touring an old navy ship in the Bay Area. I like the view of the mountains and bridge in the background. The black and white effect makes this image look older, which fits the era of when this ship was first built. Enjoy!
I was recently in the Bay Area and I was able to capture this image of a distant view of San Francisco. I like the vintage effect created by the black and white filter. Enjoy!
I like the way the shadows appear on the statue and the far reaching appearance of the hand, which I think creates a bit of dimension in the photo. Enjoy!
