Art in lost places

One of my favorite photo topics is industrial archeology. Mostly it is strictly forbidden to go in and, worse, they have boarded up the windows so there is no light to take photos. And then there are the few places where they have recognized the aesthetic value of these places and use them for art exhibitions. One is the so called “electriciteitsfabriek” in The Hague. The turbine hall of a power station has been converted to an exhibition hall for modern art.

The children’s buggy is not part of the art work
The present exhibition by different artists refers to, surprise, the pandemic
In this installation plastic garbage rains down from a rotating barrel at the ceiling
Sometimes the barrel has to be refilled
