This is a little misleading. Looks like someone is going on vacation or taking a trip. Instead it’s a display at the Manzanar Relocation Camp where people of Japanese ancestry where interned during WWII. Most left only what they could carry, many lost their livelihoods, wealth and homes. I was moved by the exhibits and the fact that even in their dire state they made a life for themselves and their families.

Stattdessen ist es eine Ausstellung im Manzanar Relocation Camp, wo Menschen japanischer Abstammung während des Zweiten Weltkriegs interniert wurden. Die meisten ließen nur das zurück, was sie tragen konnten, viele verloren ihre Lebensgrundlage, ihren Reichtum und ihr Zuhause. Ich war bewegt von den Exponaten und der Tatsache, dass sie selbst in ihrem desolaten Zustand ein Leben für sich und ihre Familien geführt haben.
