Hiking in the Dunes
I had the opportunity to photograph these hikers in the Great Sand Dunes national Park in Colorado. These sand dunes are incredibly high and fascinating. I was told that the sand is 140 degree Fahrenheit (60 degree Celsius) hot. Protective shoes are a must!

Last night I photographed the moonbow in Yosemite National Park. I got both images around 10:30 pm.
High Sierra Nevada in May
Spring in the High Sierra Nevada means melting snow and the beginning of plant growth. I photographed this small creek at about 9000 feet. Normally it is a very small creek but currently the water is just gushing down. The bushes in the front are just beginning to grow new leaves and the mountains in the background are still partially snow covered.
Palm Trees
Photography is the first step of creating an image. Editing and converting a picture the second. Here I photographed the palm trees in Rahilly park in Merced. I walk in this park almost every day and usually I carry a camera with me. At home I work with my images. Here I converted my image into a watercolor painting. Enjoy!
Cottage in Carmel
Carmel by the sea, located on the central California coast is a lovely town with lots of small cottages and shops. It is definitely worth a visit.
Thistle
I have some volunteer thistles growing on the side of my house. When they started to bloom I cut some of them and photographed them on my lightbox.
A happy Guy
Walking through downtown Merced with two photographer friends we met this gentleman who allowed us to photograph him. He was quite talkative and he seemed to be a happy person. I wonder what happened in his life that he living in the streets.
Looking for Polaris
I was setting up my equipment for star photography when I decided to use a second camera to photograph the light beam that connects the star tracker with Polaris. Enjoy!
