I came across this while looking through some past photoshoots. It’s a bell pepper shot with my macro lens and placed on a light box.

On a recent trip to Northern California I look a little time away from the tasks at hand and drove south of McCloud , CA and came across this field of wild Shasta Daisies. It there weren’t so many trees in the way I probably could have had Mt. Shasta itself in the background.

I took this a couple of years ago in Yosemite National Park. Since the theme is reflections you can probably see that this is a reflection of snow covered trees in the Merced River. I’ve had people who had to ask what this was.

Last time I was at the Northern California Coast I spotted this rock all along on the beach. No other rocks were nearby. I like the black and white effect.

This little sprout on a very long branch caught me eye at Lithia Park in Ashland Oregon. I cropped it somewhat otherwise the sprout would be very small and it is the focal point.

This Lupine was growing alongside Highway 199 in Northern California. It doesn’t seem to know which way is up or what color it wants to be.

I went to Railtown 1897 in Jamestown, CA last Sunday. I like railroads and this one especially since it is kind of rough and tumble. Nothing is under glass, not much staging and you can wander around at your own pace. The people there are very friendly and knowledgeable and seem to love their work. Oh, and they actually work on the engines and cars right there in the roundhouse and sheds.

I recently had to go to the Northern California Coast for work. Instead of coming back the way I went, I took a little me time and went up and across through Oregon. On the way I saw a number of interesting flowers. This one really caught my eye since there were only occasional patches. Photographing beautiful flowers like this help break up a long drive.
Ich musste vor kurzem an die Nordkalifornische Küste, um dort zu arbeiten. Anstatt den Weg, den ich gegangen bin, zurück zu kehren, nahm ich mir ein wenig Zeit und fuhr durch Oregon. The Dogwoods and waterfalls were very spectacular this year in Yosemite Valley. I chose to convert this one to black and white. Have a good Memorial Holiday weekend and stay safe.
