Walking through downtown Merced with two photographer friends we met this gentleman who allowed us to photograph him. He was quite talkative and he seemed to be a happy person. I wonder what happened in his life that he living in the streets.

A victim of COVID?
I photographed this man resting on a bench in downtown Merced. I assume that all of his belongings are in his bag. I wonder if he was recently evicted through the COVID crisis. Maybe he lost his job? I don’t know but people like him touch me and I wish I could help them.

Life in my City
Life is very restricted during the COVID pandemic. Many people lost their lives and the images in Washington, DC shocked us all. Despite all these heartbreaking event there is life, hope and joy breaking through! A mother is playing with her child in a park in my hometown, Merced, CA. For me this is an image of joy and hope!

Random Love
I like to show relationship in my street photography like the relationship between a human being and an animal. This image is a snapshot that I took while walking away from a country flea market. Actually I was hoping to get some interesting images at the flea market but instead I snapped my camera on my way back to the car.
