We had a break between storms last week and I decided to go for a short drive and passed a small pond that had a flock of probably 30 or more Ring-necked Ducks swimming around in small groups. I find the name interesting because they don’t have a ring on their neck, but they do have a prominent one on their beaks. They migrate north into Canada and Alaska for the summer.
