Just a bit of color along the old Route 66 Near Oldtown AZ

Early Spring Flowers
Wild flowers seem to be running a little late this year, probably due to the late winter weather. However I did see a few California Poppies, and pretty good representation of Fiddlenecks.
Stairs
What better place to photograph for a guy who likes lines than the Leon S Peters Business Building at Fresno State.
Steel Wool Burning
I saw this on Facebook and had to try it for myself. Steel burning?? Turns out it’s a rapid oxidation of the fine steel threads. Who knew, I didn’t.
Speed
This first image was taken along Interstate 5 with the worlds smallest mountain range, The Sutter Buttes, in the background. The speed limit is 70 mph, so you can guess this car is doing well over that.
This was taken at the Merced Wildlife Refuge of Snow and Ross Geese in flight. The shutter speed was 1/10th of a second.

Winter
The current storm remined me of the unpredictable storm I went through a while back coming from Northern California. These two were taken 15 minutes apart at two different offramps on Highway 99. First looking east the second west.

Sacramento Wildlife Refuge: Bald Eagle
Recently went up north to see my brother, I stopped at the Sacramento Wildlife Refuge both going and coming. Going up I didn’t see any eagles, coming back I saw three. It was quite cold so I’m thinking all had their feathers kinda puffed up to help keep warm.
You guessed it, Yosemite again!!
Headed to Yosemite, past the rock slides, traffic control and thankfully very little traffic. It was pretty cold and very icy in the Valley. Yes, Dorothy and Valerie I did have and wear my ice spikes. This first photo is of Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls. I’ve taken a lot of these but I can’t remember when there wasn’t a ton of people on this path. The second photo reminded me of some kind of frost animal creeping along.
