Heiliger Hain

Vorletzten Sonntag waren Anke, Friedhelm und ich im “Heiligen Hain”, einer Heidelandschaft nördlich von Wolfsburg unterwegs. Es ist gerade zur Heideblüte ein beliebtes Ausflugs-und Wandergebiet.
The penultimate Sunday Anke, Friedhelm and I were in the “Heiligen Hain”, a heath landscape north of Wolfsburg. It is a popular excursion and hiking area especially during the heather blossom.

Dekowolf

Der Wolf, das Wappentier von Wolfsburg. Dieses lebensgroße Exemplar steht normalerweise vor einem bekannten Wolfsburger Optikergeschäft. Nach Feierabend bewacht er das Geschäft von innen.
The wolf, the heraldic animal of Wolfsburg. This life-size specimen normally stands in front of a well-known Wolfsburg optician’s shop. After work he guards the shop from the inside.

Schwarzlicht

Ich habe mal wieder etwas herum experimentiert. Dieses Bild von einem Ziergras habe ich in der Nacht auf meinem Balkon mit einer UV-Taschenlampe und einem lichtstarken Objektiv gemacht.
I’ve been experimenting around a bit again. I took this picture of an ornamental grass on my balcony during the night with a UV torch and a fast lens.

Bördeboot

Das ist ein sogenanntes “Bördeboot”. Üblicherweise sind diese Boote auf der Insel Helgoland, also mitten in der Nordsee, im Einsatz. Dort bringen sie die Inselbesucher von den auf Reede liegenden Schiffen auf die Insel. Dieses Boot hat, im Rahmen einer Protestfahrt nach Berlin, im Wolfsburger Motorsporthafen einen Zwischenstopp eingelegt.
t’s a so-called “boating boat.” Usually these boats are used on the island Helgoland, in the middle of the North Sea. There they bring the island visitors from the ships lying on the roads to the island. This boat made a stopover at the Wolfsburg Motorsport Harbour during a protest trip to Berlin.
