Merry Christmas everybody. I thought I post a non seasonal image today. It was taken on a farm in Los Banos, CA. Enjoy!
Sunset in Yosemite
David and I photographed in Yosemite National Park on 12-14-2021. A winter storm had moved through the area and brought about a foot of fresh snow. The trees were all covered as the clouds moved out and the red evening sunlight were shining through. Enjoy!
Sunset at the Rogge Ranch
Wolfgang invited David and myself to photograph at his property in the California foothills outside Mariposa, CA. We were rewarded with a magnificent sunset.
Walking along Joerg Ave.
Currently I am experimenting with Russian Rangefinder lenses. Some of them produce a very soft low contrast image like the Industar 26. For Fall foliage and foggy days this lens is ideal. Enjoy this image that I created walking through neighborhood.
Sunflower in the Fall – Cell Phone Image
Currently I am trying to earn to photograph properly with my cell phone. My first obstacle is that my phone takes images in a 4:3 format. I actually prefer the 3:2 of my camera. Of course I also miss all the manual control but I am adjusting. On this images I added a circular polarizer to my cell phone camera to bring out the clouds real strong. In post I added an art filter. Enjoy!
Freight Train in Merced
I used a drone to capture this freight train going through Merced county. While viewing my images I discovered a container from Hamburg-Süd (see second image on the lower right below the Maersk container) The world is small and greetings to Peter in Hamburg who shared his wonderful images yesterday.
Shaped by the Elements
I photographed this tree at Capitol Reef National Park in Utah. The tree was shaped by the elements and depends totally on the elements. I converted the image to black and white to create more drama. In addition I used the natural and imaginary lines to emphasize the tree trunk. Enjoy!
This is the colored version of the image. Which image do you like better and why?
UC Merced
last night I photographed the UC Merced university complex. Enjoy!
Rock in the Desert
This rock in Capitol Reef NP has been shaped over thousand of years. Once in an ocean and today in the desert, one can see the traces of time.
