Just a few miles north of Weed California on Highway 97 is the Living Memorial Sculpture Garden. It’s a tribute to all who have served. The sculptures are all made of metal by sculptor Dennis Smith. I was very moved by the whole experience, much more than I had anticipated. The first image is of ‘The Nurses’ the second is of the hand of the person being carried. These sculptures were very expressive. I converted them to black and white to emphasize the sculpture and not the background.
