Osprey, Mono Lake
Mono Lake in the Eastern Sierras is one of the nesting places for Osprey. Interesting fact is that Osprey are fish eaters and there aren’t any fish in Mono Lake due to the high alkalinity and it is a dead lake with no outlet. The Osprey in Mono Lake feed in the ponds and streams in the area and bring their food back to the nests located at the lake.
