Merced Wildlife Refuge

Went to the Refuge the other day. They’re beginning to flood some of the areas and the various birds are arriving. I know the first one isn’t a bird and I posted an image of a Dragonfly last week but that one was, umm, static. This one I took while it was hovering in mid air.

Bin neulich zum Refugium gegangen. Sie beginnen, einige Gebiete zu überschwemmen und die verschiedenen Vögel kommen an. Ich weiß, dass das erste kein Vogel ist und ich habe letzte Woche ein Bild einer Libelle gepostet, aber dieses war, ähm, statisch. Dieses habe ich aufgenommen, während es in der Luft schwebte.

Kirchenfenster

Das muss man ja den alten Kirchenbaumeistern lassen, Ahnung von Beleuchtung und Lichtsetzung hatten sie schon. Ich bin immer wieder faziniert davon, wie allein dadurch eine beeindruckende Stimmung in alten Kirchen erzeugt wird. Dieses Kirchenfenster ist in der Patronatskirche zu Flechtingen zu sehen.

You have to hand it to the old church builders, they already had an idea of lighting and lighting design. I am always fascinated by how this alone creates an impressive atmosphere in old churches. This church window can be seen in the patronage church in Flechtingen.

Thank you for all the fish

This summer I went sailing around the Mediterranean island of Mallorca. Of course we went snorkeling regularly and surprisingly for such an over-touristic spot, there was loads of life under water. It is quite tricky to take pictures of fish, they usually try to get away from you, they are fast, the light is poor and it is difficult to see the camera screen under water. And the photos shouldn’t look like being taken in an aquarium. Here are some results:
