Over this past weekend, my grandmother had her 84th birthday party, and these were the centerpieces on each table. I took some photos for the event and this is one of the images I captured. I love the color variation and softened edges within the photo. The bokeh in the back makes the roses look a little like a watercolor painting. Hope you enjoy!

Rainy Days
I took this photo a while back when I went to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This was the view outside my hotel room, and I loved the architecture of all the older buildings. I thought this image was interesting because the focus is on the rain and not on the actual watchtower outside. Hope you enjoy!
Beach Days
I recently went to Morro Bay with a friend of mine, and we walked along the beach collecting seashells. The tide was high, and birds were swarming all around, searching for food. It was a cold, windy day, but the sunshine brought some warmth. Hope you enjoy!
Cat Eye
I really like the shallow depth of field in this photo and the intensity of the cat’s stare. I thought the black and white filter drew more focus to her fierce expression. Hope you enjoy!
Static
I’ve always had this interesting glass ball that reacts to static energy, creating this cool effect. This image reminds me a little of an abstract painting with the various colors and blurred motion. Enjoy!
Christmas Poinsettia
I picked up a few poinsettias for the holiday season, and there were a variety of different colors. This is the orange color and I love the different shades in the leaves. Happy holidays!
Gathered Crows
The other day there were hundreds of crows swarming the entire area and flying through the skies. I saw this tree filled with them and quickly took a few pictures and captured this one with the crow flying mid-air. I also thought that the black and white coloring gives this image a creepier appearance. Enjoy!
Coffee for Two
One of my last photography assignments was to take photos of hands, and this is one of the images that I got. I like how the identity of each subject is hidden, and the only visible part is their hands. This is just a simple, fun image that I thought I’d share. Enjoy!
Self-Portrait
I recently had to complete a self-portrait for my photography class, and this is one of the photos that I submitted. I like the stormy appearance in the mirror reflection, and I think it adds to the overall dramatic tones within the image. Enjoy!
A Surreal Scene
I’ve been taking a photography class for one of my fun class electives, and our most recent assignment was “envision the surreal”. This was a fun project and my idea for this image was to demonstrate how books are a form of escape and can lead us into entirely different worlds. I wanted there to be a contrast between the dark and colorless scenery in the background and the colorful landscape coming out of the book. Enjoy!
