The “Holidaze”
Holidaze= feeling like you’re in a daze during the holidays because it’s almost Christmas, but mentally you’re still in June.
Bath Time
Although it is the middle of December, some of our year round resident hummers have decided to bathe. The cool shower doesn’t seem to bother them. These are Anna’s Hummingbirds and are obviously pretty hardy. The birdbath was designed and built by my son Karl, and the birds seem to love it.
Stay healthy and have a wonderful day!

Busted Photo Meet-up
A group of us were supposed to get together and do some Christmas photography, but some members weren’t feeling well. I went to the Merced Wildlife Refuge instead. There weren’t many birds but I got a few shots I liked.

About traveling
…and about the most important people when traveling in a foreign country. At the beginning I told you that I have traveled a lot in the last 10 years as a medical doctor accompanying travel groups. I have got to know a great many confident coach drivers, foresighted helpers, competent tour guides, attentive hotel staff and many other people without whom such a trip would not be possible. This article is a thank you to all these people. (A little voluminous, but only a small selection. All photos: India)
Es weihnachtet
Auch das Kundenzentrum der Autostadt ist weihnachtlich geschmückt. Dort entstand dieser Schnappschuss.
The Autostadt customer center is also decorated for Christmas. This snapshot was taken there.
Spiegelung
In letzter Zeit habe ich den Reiz der Schwarz/Weiß-Fotografie wieder für mich entdeckt. Diese Bilder haben einfach eine ganz eigene Wirkung, wie ich finde.
I have recently rediscovered the appeal of black and white photography. I think these pictures simply have a very special effect.
