While on a road-trip through the South-West, I finally found the time to work more intense on my infrared photography.

I love photographing at a service station. There is so much to see. In this image the gentleman standing at the red car must have spotted hoe I mounted my 360 degree camera on a ten foot pole to get this image. Enjoy!
Ich hätte das Bild auch “vor Saisonbeginn” nennen können, denn noch ist das Mühlenmuseum in Gifhorn geschlossen. Eine gute Gelegenheit also, um bei einem Spaziergang rund um das Gelände die ruhige Atmosphere auf sich wirken zu lassen. Und wie man sieht, hat das Wetter auch mitgespielt. Glücklicherweise haben wir abschließend noch entdeckt, dass die Gastronomie doch schon geöffnet hatte, so dass wir uns bei Kaffee und Kuchen noch stärken konnten.
I could have called the picture “before the start of the season”, because the mill museum in Gifhorn is still closed. A good opportunity to take a walk around the grounds and soak up the tranquil atmosphere. And as you can see, the weather played along. Fortunately, we discovered that the restaurant was already open, so we were able to fortify ourselves with coffee and cake.
Der Frühling ist meine Lieblingsjahreszeit. Ich mag besonders die zarten, frischen Farben, die nach und nach auftauchen.
Spring is my favorite time of year. I particularly like the delicate, fresh colors that gradually appear.

This last weekend I took a hike by Stevenson Falls near Shaver Lake. It was a relatively challenging hike but this beautiful waterfall at the end made it all worthwhile!
