About traveling
Traveling within your own country can also open up interesting perspectives. This is not a new insight. Here I am on the train on the way to my mother in the Harz mountains.
Futtersuche
I always deliberately leave the withered plants with their seed pods on my balcony. Much to the delight of the blue tits, who like to help themselves to them. And for me it is a good opportunity to photograph the nimble fellows quite comfortably from the living room.

Autumn mist
In autumn, the Dutch polder landscape is often hidden in fog. But suddenly the infinite expanse of this horizontal landscape comes back. Even the noise of the omnipresent internal combustion engine in its various appearances appears muffled

Fall Monarch
We don’t get a lot of butterfly’s where I live so I consider their visit’s special. Monarch’s are a real treasure and to have this one visit so late in the season was a special treat. And of course he took advantage of the Butterfly Bush that still has a few blooms left. I am glad it stopped to say hi!!!!
