About traveling

When traveling, it is always helpful to make sure you have the protection of the gods or the ground staff. Near Jodhpur/India it happened that in 1988 Mr Om Singh Rathore died in an accident with his motorcycle. As they say by too much alcohol. Subsequently, due to strange events with the motorcycle, the accident site developed into a pilgrimage site where many travelers gather every day to pray for a safe journey. Take a look (and enjoy):

Windspiele

These wind chimes made of sheet steel are always fascinating. Especially when they rotate in the wind, they seem to constantly change their shape. It creates an almost hypnotic effect. This one was for sale at the art market in Veltheim.

Still life

Like years ago in the US, many small towns in Germany struggle with their abandoned city centers. The consequence of their previous policy of building shopping centers outside town with huge parking lots leads to emptiness and a desolate atmosphere in the old commercial center of town. Empty buildings which cannot be sold, line the streets. Demolition causes gaps and all attractivity is lost.

Aurora Borealis

On three consecutive nights in Alaska the sky turned into a lightshow of blue, red and green. The first night was like a miracle with its steady pattern. I was even more surprised by the show the second night, when the lights moved faster in the sky. Then came the third night. The sky turned into a mesmerizing wonder of green, moving so fast that every second its appearance was a new sensation. These three nights were the most wonderful experience in my life.
