The London Bridge was purchased from the City of London by a U.S. businessman for $2.4 million in 1968. It was dismantled brick by brick and moved via the Panama Canal to Long Beach, CA and then trucked to Lake Havasu City, AZ. It was reconstructed, reinforced and reopened there in 1971 at a total cost of $7 million.

Novembersonne
Sonnentage werden jetzt im November seltener. Aber so können sie aussehen.
Sunny days are becoming rarer now in November. But this is what they can look like.
Latern and Shadow
Metropolis photos of Rotterdam
I spent some time taking pictures with Wolfgang in the Netherlands. Here is my interpretation of the architecture in Rotterdam
Yosemite National Park
A beautiful day today in Yosemite. Still some snow on the ground from the storm a few days ago. I stopped at the bridge across the Merced River where the road splits into south and north drive to take this photograph
Yosemite Before the Snow
Yosemite | October 2022
A few weeks ago I went up to Yosemite before the first snow fall. The waterfalls were dry, but the views were still beautiful! I like the blue and gold color combination in this photo. Enjoy!
Bobcat
Female Northern Harrier and the little American Coot
I was watching this Harrier sitting on top of a little Coot, a duck like black bird with a white beak. After the Harrier noticed that I was nearby, it took off into the air, starring with a dramatic look towards me.
Great Egret
Great Egrets are fairly common around here, but somewhat shy. This one seems to be saying, ‘I got my eye on you’.
Silberreiher sind hier ziemlich häufig, aber etwas scheu. Dieser hier scheint zu sagen: „Ich habe dich im Auge behalten“.
Slinky
Eleven years ago we adopted Slinky. He showed up in our neighborhood as a very young, wild and hungry tomcat. Over the years he became tame and he loves to sit on a blanket.
I used a 360 degree camera to create this image. Enjoy!
